Rapidly Rotating 78RPM Records 10/19/2014

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records," Glenn Robison's weekly, one hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon. On Thursday of last week, I was aboard the tall ship SSV TOLE MOUR in a movie shoot as an "environmental actor" (euiphamism for "extra") for my friend Doug Turner's movie "The Apple Falls." This week's schedule necessaitated my running a past show, so this week's show is a rebroadcast of the show from October 19, 2008 which featured four segments of songs about sailing and sailors. If you're a more recent listener to the show, it's new to you, and if you're a longtime listener but happened to miss that show when it was originally broadcast, it's new to you, too! And even if you heard it back in '08, that was a long time ago and it's worth a repeat!    As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.  And of course, your comments, topic suggestions and requests are always welcome. Enjoy the show!
