Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – March 13, 2022
from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison
Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. Do you know who this fellow is? His birth name is Arthur Murray Hainer, but you may know him better as composer, arranger and big band leader Will Hudson. He starts off this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records with his own birthday segment in which you’ll hear one of his most famous tunes. And his is not the only birthday segment on this week’s show. We’ll also hear tunes from George McConnell and performances by Don Parker. In other segments, we’ll celebrate International Women’s Day and play the exciting new musical game, “One of These Things Is Not Like The Others.” There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different (and we think better!) musical era. ENJOY THE SHOW!
