Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – March 29, 2020

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. I hope you are all safe and healthy and doing as OK as you can be given the current world situation and stay-at-home orders. I hope this hour of music gives you a bit of diversion and entertainment. On this evening’s show we’re going to start by celebrating the birthday of Pinchas Goldfein who was better known professionallyl as Paul Godwin. I was unfamiliar with him, but I’m certainly glad I was enlightened by listener Rich in Illinois, who suggested the segment. In the second segment, Curley Weaver gets his own birthday segment. I played his song “Tricks Ain’t Walkin’ No More” on last week’s show. Other segment topics this week have to do with in-laws, what I got, and being busy. Thanks for listening! Wash your hands and stay safe! Note that the KISL website (www.KISLAvalon.com) is still down. We are working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon. The station continues to broadcast over the air, and every episode of Rapidly Rotating Records going all the way back to 2000 is available on the show website at www.RapidlyRotatingRecords.com.
