Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – Nov. 21, 2021
from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison
Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. Do you know who this fellow is? He’s American comedian and actor Benny Rubin. He’ll be getting his own birthday segment in February, but he’s on this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records to explain to you, clearly and concisely, all about how Thanksgiving came to be. I hope his explanation will add to your enjoyment of the holiday. In other segments, we’ll attend the ballet, fix some things, and have a segment all about you. And despite the toe-tapping music, we’ll be getting drowsy. There’s lots of great music and interesting information on this week’s show, so set aside an hour to relax over your favorite beverage and be taken back in time to a different (and we think better!) musical era. ENJOY THE SHOW! Here’s the complete playlist: Segment 1: Drowsy Drowsy Head – Green Brothers Novelty BandDrowsy Dempsey – Vess L.
