Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – October 10, 2021

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. So why in the world would we have a Mona Motor Oil sign at the top of this week’s RRR playlist? Well, “Tune in K-O-I-L” is a clue.  A segment about oil? Nope. Listen and all will be revealed at the end of the third segment having to do with Saturday. In other segments, we’ll have a vocabulary lesson, we’ll feather our nest,  save some pennies and in the final segment we’ll do the “Boom Boom!”   There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different (and we think better!) musical era. ENJOY THE SHOW! Here’s the complete playlist: Segment 1: Nostomania I’m Lookin’ Forward To Goin’ Back Home – Al Mitchell AHO / Dick Robertson, v.Take Me Back To Home And Mother – North Carolina Ramblers / Roy Harvery & Bob Hoke, v.On The Way Back Home – Imperial Dance Orchestra (Adrian Schubert) / Arthur Fields, v.
