Lil' Bass was born on October 23, 1995 to former heavyweight boxer Melton A. Bowen and Angela Bowen. Lil Bass who got his rap moniker from his father known as DJ Bass, has been around the music environment ever since the age of 2. Lil Bass began rapping at the age of 6, and with discipline and love from his parents he was able to maintain good grades while successfully releasing a series of hits in the Miami music scene.
