Rare Crossbill Encounter

from Tales with Tails · host Monique Renee

Sue tells the story of a little crossbill bird she helped rehabilitate and release years ago. She is a Colorado native and this is the only time she has ever seen a crossbill. Sue Carroll owns Bones Du Jour bakery in Fort Collins. She crafts "Treats so good you will wish you were a dog!" She bakes gourmet dog treats in small batches from hand selected ingredients. She uses the highest quality human-grade ingredients she can find, most of which are organic and many are purchased directly from local Fort Collins farmers and ranchers who are committed to sustainable agriculture. You can also hear Sue on KRFCfm.org radio show Critter Patter every Thursday night. If you are a fellow birder like Sue and I please join us on Global Big Day 2019. Download the free eBird app and join more than 30,000 others to become a part of Global Big Day. The Merlin app is awesome year round too to help identify birds in your area.
