Rare Disease Day 2/29/24

Today is February 29, the rarest day on the calendar and we are marking what is known as Rare Disease Day. It's a day to bring attention to disorders affecting relatively few people, but there are still thousands of these diseases out there impacting millions of families. We'll talk to the head of the National Organization for Rare Disorders about the scope of the problem, plus the CEO of a company working in this area about the process for getting treatments approved.
