Rare strain of deadly Ebola virus went undetected for weeks in DR Congo

An outbreak of the rare Bundibugyo Ebola strain has been spreading undetected for more than three weeks in the northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), causing at least 88 deaths out of more than 336 suspected cases.
