It is, however, intended to suggest the deepening life of worldly engrossment when there seems to be no point of return. As many realize when they've made it to the "top" that life seems to only offer the same temptations night after night - "sex, drugs & rock n roll" as they say! We as souls even with fulfillment of material desires still feel a sense of longing that something is missing and we feel incomplete. That "completeness" we yearn can only be found in the Spirit...
