There were a few points where it seemed unlikely but we pulled through, you and me. So thank you all for listening and supporting the show over the years. It really means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy this celebration of 100 episodes. There’s a new live song in there too. Professor Kliq – Plastic & Flashing Lights – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – For Matt Copp and a few others who requested Kliq. I had the good Professor and his manager Dan C on episode 3 of Rathole Radio way back on 28th of June 2009. I also played this track for the first time then. Pornophonique – Sad Robot – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – This track appeared on Rathole Radio 6 back on August 9th 2009. It was requested by Spoony78 and it’s undoubtedly a classic. —————– I Am Not LeftHanded – Late Night Drive – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed (Live At Zanzibar, 2011) – Taken from episode 51 of Rathole Radio on May 1st 2011. The band came to visit us in Liverpool and played on Easter Sunday 2011 with Rob Warren’s band You Me Tree and 20lb Sounds. Rob Warren (You Me Tree) – Good For You – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed (Live At Zanzibar, 2011) – Rob and the band also came to Liverpool for the Easter weekend and joined us. They’ve since taken the name You Me Tree and are still going strong. —————– Al Duval – Where The Comet Falls – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – This one is from Rathole Radio 57 so quite a leap forward. It was played on July 24th 2011. That episode also featured an in-depth interview with Alexei Sayle, which I’m still very proud of. It was requested by Oliver, not Olly Clark I don’t think. A different one. Greeting from Jezra Paul & Storm – The Captain’s Wife’s Lament – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Requested by Tim Stewart via FB. I played this on episode 54 of Rathole Radio June 12th 2011. A great sea shanty from Paul & Storm. I saw them perform this in Manchester with JonTheNiceGuy and one of my abiding memories is him nearly crying with laughter as the song took off. ——————– Thom Morecroft – Oh Rocko (Live at LEAF, 2012) – License Unknown – for Yorvik AKA Steve and Oliver Clark, who was in the room at the Rathole Roadshow 2012 when this was recorded. Corinthians – The Hot One (Live at LEAF, 2012) – License Unknown – Requested by Thomas Sedovic. I discovered the Corinthian’s music when I saw them support the Jungle Brothers in Liverpool one night. I tracked them down and we even had a good long chat on Rathole Radio 76, April 15th 2012. They joined the line up for the Rathole Roadshow 2012 and played this very tune. LIVE SONG: “Still Alive” by Jonathan Coulton – CC BY-NC Licensed – for Kevin Grenade – Never played this song to anyone else before, learnt it for the show. Hope you like it. I got the lyrics and some chord ideas from here. The Acousticals – Sally Anne – CC BY-SA Licensed – Suggested by Marc AKA Amsterdam Mack sent an amazing list of his favourite songs from everyone one of the 99 shows so far. I’ve attached the text file for those who want it. Makes a great compilation. This is from RatholeRadio 86 – 9th Sept 2012. Here’s a link to his text list. Thanks to everyone who responded to the call, sorry if your track didn’t make it in. DiabloMarcus for instance. Nanowar – Self titled song – CC BY Licensed – Requested by David MN, this track featured as the opener on Rathole Radio 89 back on October 14th 2012. A great piece of melodic metal from these crazy Italian rockers. A fitting way to end I think. Thanks to Evgeny Kuznetsov for his continued financial support of the show, and not forgetting everyone who clicks the Flattr buttons 🙂 Thanks to everyone who’s supported the show via Flattr as well. It really makes a difference. It’s very much appreciated and I [...]
