Rattle - The Quiet

Being a Christian can be expressed as being as much like Jesus as possible. We are flawed and sinful and our attempts will at times be a pretty ugly picture of the true Christ. However we are awash in grace and and our goal is not perfection but progress. When we look at the life of Jesus we see that he often sought a quiet place: Mk 1:35 rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. Mt 14:23; Jesus went to lonely places to pray. Our personal ‘rattling’ doesn’t need to be a loud event. Instead we need to add a quiet time to our daily activity, like Jesus, and draw near to God. Prayer and listening could be a centering part of our busy life.
