The letter -- signed by a number of prominent individuals, including military commanders and government advisers -- essentially suggests that China, and Xi Jinping in particular, tricked the world into pursuing authoritarian responses to the pandemic.However, the anti-Chinese lockdown narrative is obscuring a much broader effort by the financial and tech sector to create state-backed digital currency that will turn humanity into data assets.
