Ravens Waive Diego Pavia to Sign Center Ethan Pocic

The Baltimore Ravens have officially released quarterback Diego Pavia just prior to the start of training camp to accommodate the signing of Ethan Pocic, a veteran center. This roster adjustment ends Pavia's bid for a depth position after he spent the spring competing against Skylar Thompson and Joe Fagnano. Despite Pavia's collegiate success as a Heisman runner-up and his connections to the coaching staff, the team is prioritizing established experience at the center position. Moving forward, the franchise may only carry two quarterbacks on the final roster, headlined by superstar Lamar Jackson. Additional team updates highlight a high level of internal competition across multiple positions, including safety and linebacker, as the organization prepares for the 2026 season.
