Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have been eye opening

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      Smart Glasses have been in our focus this week…forgive the pun.   And one of the big reasons for the growing interest has been the partnership between Meta and the Ray-Ban brand owned by EssilorLuxottica…a partnership that has been extended for another decade.  It has brought Ray-Ban style to glasses…prescription or otherwise…that include AI functions, cameras and built in speakers.   You can snap good quality photos or videos easily, live stream, translate a growing number of languages, ask the Meta frames what you are looking at…or listen to music or podcasts.  The built in speakers positioned near your ears are surprisingly good.  And the prices starting at about 300 dollars, don’t seem outrageous at all.   There’s more to come…perhaps we’ll be seeing built in displays as well.   Stay tuned.
