The Rays pick up their first series win of the year, beating the Twins 4-1. For the first time in 4 games the Rays did not open the game with the lead. The Twins took the lead in the 2nd inning with a solo home run to make it 1-0. Rays starter Nick Martinez was lights out after that. He finished going 6 IP only allowing that 1 hit and striking out 4. The Rays offense got on the board with Junior Caminero hitting his first home run in the year in the 4th inning to make it 1-1. No team would score again until extra innings. In extras Richie Palacios hit a monster 2 run homer to make it 3-1. Junior Caminero drew a bases loaded walk to make it 4-1. The Rays bullpen would be lights out late to secure the win.
