Rays Rally in Eighth to Avoid Sweep

The Rays pulled off a dramatic 8-3 win over the Angels to avoid a sweep, thanks to a clutch eighth inning fueled by two homers — one from Junior Caminero (his 15th of the season) and another from Victor Mesa Jr. — that sparked a five-run surge. Ben Williamson added his second career homer earlier, while the Angels’ starter Grayson Rodriguez exited early with back tightness and outfielder Wade Meckler was injured after crashing into the wall. Donovan Walton’s first homer couldn’t save LA, whose four-game win streak ended. Tampa Bay’s bullpen, led by Kevin Kelly and Garrett Cleavinger, shut down the Angels after a shaky start, snapping a two-game losing streak and keeping their season alive.
