Episode 9 of our series Impact of Visual Arts features a conversation with Cristina Dominguez, a mother of two who works as an educational counsellor and teaches Sumi-e painting. Sumi-e, or Japanese ink painting, is the essence of Japanese aesthetics. She enjoys developing and recreating Japanese aesthetics that developed during the Tang Dynasty of China.
