Reaching to Heaven My Jesus comes to take His sheep, His lambs, His ewes, His old rams at His feet. My Jesus comes to free His flock, The pasture prepared, the gate unlocked. He’ll guide us in and give us rest, He’ll give us all that is good and best. My Jesus comes to call us home, Never again, to be hurt, lost or alone – But to belong to Him, And be His own. The world will be emptied, Like a basket of grain – To be threshed and sorted And same put with same. The grain is gathered, The chaff is burned – We are all the evidence Of what all we learned. Learned to love, be salt and light, Learned to help and put wrongs to right Learned to listen and obey Our good shepherds voice, every day.
