Reading Revelation Responsibly | Week 2

from AGC Classroom · host Ankeny Gospel Church

Apocalyptic Literature. Shrouded in mystery and bursting with bizarre imagery, Revelation has become one of the most neglected books in the Bible. Its symbolic language has confused readers for centuries and has become fuel for conspiracy theories and cults, and because of that Revelation has been functionally removed from the canon. But what if it's not meant to scare us? What if it's meant to cultivate hope in us? In this five week class, we will dive headfirst in the strange and beautiful world of apocalyptic literature. We will gain practical tools to understand Revelation's imagery, comprehend its context, and uncover the books' major themes. It's time to reclaim the book we were never meant to ignore.
