Studying the Bible is vital to the Christian life. As believers in Jesus, we are told to love God with our mind, study to show ourselves approved workman, and dwell on the words of the Lord. But how exactly should we go about studying Scripture? In this new series, we are going to teach you how to study the Bible in C.O.N.T.E.X.T.S. (Crowd, Occasion, Name, Time, Echoes, Xplanation, Text, and Says to me). In this week’s episode, we specifically look at the importance of knowing the Crowd that each book was written to. By understanding the intended audience, we can better interpret what Scripture is saying, and what it isn’t saying.
