Ready for It (song-a-week 2017 #2)

Written for r/songaweek 2017 week 2. I couldn't find anything I wanted to write about within the theme this week (which was "Storytelling"), and so I found this song quite frustrating to work on, and I didn't really get it finished. After a couple of days I decided to let the lyrics be about nothing, and maybe make nice lyrics out of nonsense, because I was thinking that taking away the pressure of having to write about *something* would help me get the song finished. In the end, I think I was on the right track, but I still wasted time worrying about making the lyrics good, even if they weren't about anything. I reckon what I really need to do is let the lyrics be bad, and let them be placeholder lyrics, so that I can focus on the melodies and the structure of the song—this is my plan for next week.
