Ready to Go Right Now - Parklane football head coach Ron Rushing, OL coach Grayson Hewitt, and Pioneers Eli Davis, Hayden McCurley and Braxton Hughes, live at the Fit Life Sports Plex

We love having state champions on The Corner Blitz, and this time it's the MAIS 5A state football champs - the Parklane Pioneers, who beat Leake Academy 70-42 back on Nov. 22 to claim the trophy for the first time since 1994. Head coach Ron Rushing hangs out with us all the time on K106, and tonight we got to talk to OL coach Grayson Hewitt and Pioneers Eli Davis, Hayden McCurley and Braxton Hughes. Benji, Brad and Adam also discuss former Lawrence County stud Ahmad Hardy and the paycheck he is about to receive, the retirement of Co-Lin's Glenn Davis, the College Football Playoff Committee's latest rankings and how, when it comes to the postseason (to quote Clint Eastwood), "deserve's got nothing to do with it." Manuel Scott makes movies. Andrew Nations makes sound. The Corner Blitz is a product of Southwest Media Group.
