Titus was told to hold fast the faithful Word. As he did, he was to deal with the rebels, restore those that were repentant and have a right perspective about those that were reprobate. However, that was not the end of the ministry of the Word for him. He was to take the Word he was holding fast and standing firm upon and connected to the living of God’s people. The Cretian believers had a problem with living out the Word of God in their daily living.
