Instead, he suggests you go straight for the multi-family housing market, as well as commercial opportunities.  When do people take action and when don't they? When they find their life unacceptable in some form. Until they feel that way, they won't take action. In order to get started, figure out your next three steps. Don't worry about what comes after that, just focus on the first three things. Then the next three. Then the next three. After a few months you'll look back and realize how far you've come. Investing is a team sport. You have to have a team with you. Whether it's hunting for deals, or going out and raising money, you need people on your side. Michael likes to focus on cities where there's a population of at least 300,000 people, in order to have it managed properly. Larger cities give more options over smaller markets.
