Real Life with Toni Reece and Guest Erica Hesselson

Sometimes the most profound life lessons don’t come from textbooks or classrooms.  They come from life itself.  From the challenges we didn’t choose, the people we love, and the moments that force us to discover strengths we didn’t know we had.  The guest on Real Life today is Erica Hesselson, owner of Ahava Counseling and Wellness Services.  Erica’s story is about getting over the fear of talking about the tough stuff and asking for help.  Erica is a sex therapist and encourages people to talk about the tough topics as she herself shares how hard it was for her to ask for help as a mother of a child with Down syndrome.  This conversation is about mental wellness, resilience, parenting, advocacy, community, and what it really means to ask for help.
