Real Love

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. What is real love? Now, that’s the question that all of humanity has wrestled with. You see, we all need love. In fact, we’re made for it! When God created man and woman, He did so in His own image, and He declared it good. And the Bible tells us over and over about the Father’s love for us. In fact, there’s a hymn you may have heard before that says, “How deep the Father’s love for us; how vast beyond all measure…that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.” Jesus told his disciples in John 15 that “greater love hath no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Did you know that Jesus—who’s God Himself—not only came to earth, but He died on the cross for our sins in our place?
