We're all familiar with famous movies that show the machines taking over earth by force. Jim, as he allowed me to call him, spent twenty years as a cryptologist working his way up to senior advisor over future concepts and innovation for military special operations. That's a whole lot of technical terms I didn't understand and wouldn't expect you to either. However, Jim does an incredible job presenting profoundly complex things in a relatively simple way. By the end of this  episode, I know we'll all be Just Dumb Enough to understand why the rise of the machines isn't our biggest concern. I would hope everyone is going to leave this episode feeling much more skeptical about the interactions and news that they see pop up online, but the truth is that at least a couple listeners were probably scrolling through Facebook or Twitter during the episode. It's a scary thought to realize we are our own worst enemies when it comes to information, but you really can't take a hands off approach to the world existing all  around you.
