Kelli made it halfway and had to set it aside because of some content triggers. Halsey felt a bit overwhelmed by the vast amount of darkness this story had to express. Both she and Kelli usually stick to books offering escapism in their free time - lessons were learned! Bailey connected with so much of what the main character, Gifty's experience of leaving her faith behind, deconstructing, and found the science storyline fascinating plus educational!
