Reawakening Wonder

Welcome to this week's podcast and audio recording.As I continue to rest and heal,I wanted to share a simple practice:humming and playing my pentatonic lyre.This is something I did for many years in my classroom with my little ones, anywhere from two to five years old, usually during playtime. If the children were getting a little out of themselves, I would take out my lyre and sing and hum and play a little bit.And it almost always would bring calm, warmth, and love to our space.There were many reasons the children might be getting out of themselves.It might be what they had for breakfast or how they slept last night.It might be too much sensory input or too much exposure to media and the adult world.Or it might just be their growing bodies that needed time to organize themselves.Goodness knows we could all use some soothing and support these days.So I hope you enjoy this little offering.With Love and Wonder,SusanBeautiful Dreamer Society is a reader-supported publication.
