Rebecca Szabo - That's Sew Fabulous!
from Time to Elevate Podcast · host Ann Lucente
“Don’t Let Your Past Control Your Future.” ~ A message from Rebecca's Dad🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋Hey! Welcome to another episode of Time to Elevate Podcast! I’m your host, Ann Lucente. Whether you’ve been listening since day one or you’re joining me for the very first time, I’m so thrilled you’re here. This is a space where we talk about resilience, life pivots, and the divine interventions that place people in our paths when we least expect it. It’s all about the strength we find when we walk the journey together. Today’s guest is someone I met through what I truly believe was divine intervention. If you’ve listened before, you’ve heard me talk about how the Woodstock/New Paltz Craft Fair has blessed me in ways far beyond shopping. I’ve met incredible people there who have become dear friends. In September of 2025, I was going through a season where I felt a bit out of sorts and really needed time to just be. That weekend, the craft fair happened to be taking place, so I decided to go on my own. As I was casually strolling through, I stopped at a vendor booth that was completely meant to be. That booth belonged to my guest today. What started as a simple moment of browsing turned into something so much more. From that one stop came beautiful, meaningful memories for me and my family. My guest today truly has a gift. Before I introduce you to her, let me share a little bit about her. She has always had a connection with needle & thread. Generations before her sewed and shared their skills with her. She has worked professionally as a seamstress, pieceworker, sewing machine ambassador, pattern tester, and even owned a quilt shop for a few years! In 1990, her terminally ill mother in law asked her to make christening outfits from her wedding gown. She, along with her maternal grandparents, inspired her to create and repurpose precious items into keepsakes for family & friends. In April of 2022, she left an administrative job to pursue her craft full time. She now creates custom memory keepsakes for others and makes fabulous accessories and seasonal décor in her home studio. She loves using unique prints, vintage trims, and thrifted items to create her own fabulous designs! You can find her year-round on Etsy or at seasonal events in the NJ & NY area. And now she’s here with me! Yay! I am super excited to welcome the incredibly talented Rebecca Szabo!
