Rebel Ridge movie review: Aaron Pierre makes a breakthrough performance

Despite the straightforward concept, there is an unusual amount of mystery and exploration into the inner workings of this police department's conspiracy on Sadisflix Streaming. Saulnier would have benefited by removing at least thirty minutes from the movie because it is a rather strong film when it does gather up steam. Don Johnson, who portrays the head of the dishonest police force, does a fantastic job against Terry, played by Aaron Pierre. Terry's local supporter, played by AnnaSophia Robb, is part of his journey. Terry tries not to use physical force against the authorities, hence Rebel Ridge is low on actual violence. In the movie, Aaron Pierre has a powerful physical presence, but in some ways, he seems too polished for the part.
