Rebranded, Week Three: Prosperity

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) Prosper:  Tsalach (Hebrew) – To push forward; to advance When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices… Proverbs 11:10 (NIV) Biblical Prosperity = Having more than you need so that you can make an eternal difference in the lives of others. God blesses us so that we can be a blessing. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us… He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 3:13-14 (NIV) I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2 (NIV) When we bless others, God takes care of our needs. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 (NIV) The more God blesses us, the more He expects us to bless others. Much is required from those to whom much is given, for their responsibility is greater.
