Rebuilding After A Breakdown - Hannah Sturland

from SoulScape · host Paul D. Lowe

Anxiety, depression and panic have affected Hannah Sturland’s life greatly, so far. The fear of never knowing when these attacks will strike, only add to the misery they cause. But when the hammer falls, and anxiety attacks, we are then faced with picking up the pieces in a highly personal and exhausting process of rebuilding. One such calamitous event took place in Hannah’s life last year. After suffering a complete breakdown, Hannah was faced with not just rebuilding herself, but also clinging on to the many threads that make up her life. But it also opened her eyes to the resources and help available to fellow sufferers. As Hannah puts it, she was forced to understand how to save her own life. Hannah has joined Paul today to discuss her brave journey back from the edge, and the lessons she learned along the way; lessons that could, perhaps, help those feeling the same way... ABOUT THE GUEST Hannah is a writer, speaker and mental health advocate.  Her one true goal is to make a difference in the world, which she’s doing by sharing her story and the formula she created to build her own recovery. She has had a life-long struggle with mental ill-health, which culminated in a complete breakdown last year.  Upon realizing that there was no help coming and certainly no magic wand, she set about rebuilding herself in order to achieve authentic, sustainable mental health.
