Recapping Penn State Wrestling's Big Ten Regular Season Title

The No. 1 Penn State wrestling team is ready to close out the dual meet portion of its schedule on Friday when it hosts EIWA program American on Friday night at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions are fresh off clinching a Big Ten regular season title and are gearing up for the postseason. Last Friday night, Penn State beat Ohio State 27-13 in Columbus to secure its 69th consecutive dual meet victory. Then, it topped Illinois 29-9 on Sunday to set a Big Ten record with 70 straight wins in addition to winning the conference's dual meet crown. Carr and Pickel discuss the top takeaways, including Beau Bartlett beating Jesse Mendez to earn the No. 1 spot at 141 pounds, freshman Luke Lilledahl bouncing back from being pinned Friday night to record a technical fall triumph on Sunday, and the latest injury information.From there, the show turns its attention to what lies ahead for the Nittany Lions. Sanderson said that the program is dealing with some illness issues, which could impact Friday night's lineup.
