Receiving the Gift of Salvation | The Well Podcast S1E4

In this episode of The Well, Pastor Phil, Pastor Chad, and host Les Norman discuss the difference between knowing about God and believing in Him. In Hebrews 2, the ancient Hebrews were drifting from their faith. Although they hadn’t rejected Christ and weren’t hostile to the gospel, they had neglected to respond to Christ’s gift of salvation. The nature of a drift is that it is subtle and slow, like a lazy river. In our culture, distraction and complacency often contribute to people drifting away from God. However, Jesus is throwing us a lifesaver to allow us to grasp onto Him as an anchor. That lifesaver is the gospel. We will be held accountable for whether we receive the gospel. When you allow Jesus to rescue you from the currents of this world and accept His gift of salvation, He will radically change your life. Do you believe that Jesus is someone you can anchor your life to? To be saved, you must surrender. If you are drowning in the currents of this world, surrender your life to Jesus.
