Recently, I’ve Been Thinking About Having More Fun

from Recently

Recently, I’ve been thinking about fun. Not in the “book a vacation and buy something you’ve been wanting” kind of way, but in the much smaller, stranger ways where life can suddenly become more enjoyable when you start paying attention. I’ve been wanting to experiment with ways to start falling in love with the process of getting to the next thing instead of resenting where I am because I'm not there yet, and I have a sneaky suspicion that fun is a big part of that. So this is me following that thread: A few recent experiments in fun, feeling emotions without letting them lead you, being overstimulated, sunglasses at the gym, learning to fall in love with the process, and learning how to actually enjoy life right now.
