Two extracts from Chapters Three and Four of the Vimalakirti Nirdesa, filling in some of the back story of Vimalakirti’s exploits In the extracts, the disciple Maudgalyayana and then the Bodhisattva Jagatimdhara tell the Buddha of their encounters with Vimalakirti.
