Recognizing and supporting the millions of children who are caregivers

In addition to 48 million adults who are family caregivers, 3.4 million children under the age of 18 are serving as a caregiver to a family member, while attending middle or high school. Dr. Connie Siskowski is the Founder and President of American Association Caregiving Youth, where she and her team serve as a national resource for children and adolescents who are caring for ill, injured, aging, frail, or disabled family members.
