Reconciliation

Sharing the gospel creates tension between warning people about coming judgement and frightening them into faith. Paul's own fear of the Lord moves him to persuade, but Christ's love controls both his words and life. Jesus died and rose so sinners may be reconciled to God, become new people, and live for Him instead of themselves. This good news is for believers too.
