Reconnect with your Body Part 1: Nurture, Nature + Naked

from Confidently Uncomfortable

If you've been feeling disconnected with your body lately, then this episode is for you. J.Go teaches us the methods she's used to reconnect with her body: Nurture, Nature, Naked.  J.Go Lately:  Hosted the J.Go Retreat Had one of her biggest Body Confident Blueprint launches Coming off of that high, she felt lost, disconnected and confused. Why? "It's easy to get caught up in goals, and you can lose yourself in the process if you're not doing things that bring you joy everyday" She recognized that she did not feel connected to her body. Ask yourself: When do I feel the most connected to myself? (When do I feel most connected to God and the Universe?) For J.Go, it's three words: nurture, nature, naked 1) Nurture - Some tips on how to give yourself nourishment:  Write a letter to your younger self. Ask, "What would make you happy today?" It usually comes back to play If you feel like nothing can bring you joy anymore - ask for help.  Give yourself some TLC, make your favorite comfort food 2) Nature - Tips for how to be more present in nature: We're on our screens a lot more now and it's important to get outside.  The more you consume what others are doing, the more disconnected you feel  Go for a walk and be more present by breathing, listening, looking, and finding gratefulness 3) Naked - Options for being naked to love and affirm your body:  It's easy to focus on your worth outside of your body. Your worth isn't tied to your body, but your body still provides you life and deserves to be celebrated.  Dry brushing Putting on lotion that you love Say thank you to each part as you pamper it Baths gives us an opportunity to slow down in a vulnerable state Dance naked and take your time getting dressed Do yoga naked (or with less clothes on than usual) How to get started? Journal and ask yourself two questions:  - What do I do that makes me feel most connected to myself?  - Ask your younger self: What brings you joy? How can I find joy today?  Take one day a week for 5-10 minutes to journal. What's something we did really well this past week? What can we do to show ourselves more love this week?  "Life is short y'all. If you're feeling disconnected from yourself and you're going through the motions, you're missing out on what it fully feels like to live."

NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
