Sometimes you need more of one type than another.  Types of Self Care: Emotional: Examples of these could be taking time to journal, reflect, and process emotions. It could mean going to therapy.  Mental: Stimulate your mind and support a healthy psyche. Example of this could be listening to a podcast or book, practicing positive self-talk, establishing a routine, or keeping a gratitude journal.  Physical + Practical: Examples of this could be daily movement, eating whole foods, sleeping, resting, or organizing your space.  Social: Having deep connections with others, having a support system, calling your mom or someone similar  Personal + Professional: Having hobbies,  Spiritual: Feeding your soul, keeping boundaries, connect with your inner child How to get started: Ask yourself: What kind of self care do I need today? Where are you craving some TLC? It's easiest to start with 2-3 minutes in the morning Start with the basics: Sleep, water, daily movement Doing a daily audit every season: What are you consuming?   Start with what you're already going and modify the mindset behind it:  - Showering: Envision your highest self, and when she steps out of the shower you are here. Intentionally be present in the moment.  - Putting on lotion: Take 1-2 minutes more, celebrate your body and thank your body as you do it.  - Drinks coffee: attach that habit to something else you want to do. Coffee and journal. (gratitude, intentions)  - Walk your dog or take a walk: Instead of being on your phone, focus on the things around you: Breath. Practice gratitude. Notice nature. - Commute to work / Driving: podcast, call a friend. Listen to classical music. Whatever is going to feed your soul.  - Lunch break: A lot of people don't take a lunch break. Don't scroll on your phone during lunch. Go outside.  - Cooking and cleaning: Chores we feel like we have to do. Makes us go into it with a negative mindset and feeling frustrated. Pair it with something you enjoy doing, like a movie or a show.  - Brush your teeth: Pick up things, tidy the house.      "Give yourself permission to slow down. Give yourself permission to not do all the things all the time. You are allowed to slow down. You don't need to earn rest. rest is a priority, it is something you need. physically, mentally, and emotionally you need to take rest or you will burn out. "  "Don't let other people try to convince you that it's not possible to prioritize your self care and your needs. Not only is it possible, it is absolutely crucial that you do"

NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
