Reconnecting to the Head (10.3.2021)

Today, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Colossians 1:18-20 on the importance of "Reconnecting to the Head." Though there are many images of the church, the Body is the most important. The Body of Christ is composed of all true believers. Each Christian is a member of the spiritual body and Jesus Christ is the Head. A Body cannot live apart from the Head, and a Head cannot live apart from the Body. Without Jesus Christ, the church does not exist; and without the church, the life of Christ on earth could not be known or exist. The church is totally dependent upon the Head, Jesus Christ. The Body finds its purpose, meaning, and significance in the Head who is Jesus Christ. Though we cannot minister to the whole church, but we can strengthen and build the church by ministering to God's people in a local assembly (a local church).
