Record Atlantic sargassum seaweed in the Atlantic, Cherry Blossom forecast, and tragedy in Oklahoma

Record levels of seaweed in the Atlantic are piling up in the Caribbean, just in time for spring break. This year is expected to be another record year for the stinky seaweed. Also, National Park Service released its official peak bloom forecast for Washington, D.C.’s iconic Yoshino cherry trees. Experts say weather patterns in late winter and early spring determine when 70% of blossoms open around the Tidal Basin. And, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the 47-year-old mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found near U.S. Highway 60 after a suspected tornado touched down near Fairview.
