Recruiting Show: LSU Class Is Heating Up: 5-Star Targets, Flip Candidates & MORE

On this episode of the Cover 3 Recruiting Show, Bud Elliott and 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins check in on LSU's 2027 recruiting class following the Tigers' dominant 51-10 win over Clemson. With LSU sitting No. 10 in the 247Sports team rankings with just 16 commits, the guys break down the strengths of the class, a potential sleeper, 5-star flip targets and how Lane Kiffin can capitalize on the Tigers' early-season momentum. Plus, Andrew opens the Trait Lab to explain the “Over 22, Under 11 Club” — prospects who have recorded a long jump over 22 feet and a 100-meter dash under 11 seconds — and why those numbers can be an indicator of elite explosiveness on the football field. The guys highlight current recruits Osani Gayles, Sean Green and Tory Pittman along with college players whose athletic traits have translated to big plays. Then, meet 2028 safety Antwaun “Cornbread” Adams, a rising prospect who recently added offers from Oregon and Texas A&M, before looking ahead to Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor on CBS.
