Red Card, Two Goals, Bottom of Table | Kansas City Royals News

Sporting Kansas City’s hopes of a comeback were dashed when midfielder Lasse Berg Johnsen picked up a second yellow card just before halftime, leaving them down to ten men. Houston capitalized immediately, scoring twice in the second half — including an easy second goal after a catastrophic giveaway by the Sporting keeper — while Sporting failed to register a real shot on goal until the 76th minute. The loss drops them to the bottom of the league, as their defensive lapses and inability to score continue to haunt them under a frustrated coach.
