from Dits & Dahs · host Sue Sinclair
Hi, my name is Sue and I have chromasynthesia. No, it's not an affliction or abuse disorder, it's a melding of two senses (and that connection is often destroyed in a child's environment). In my case, hearing and seeing. I see color when I hear music, distinguished by key (and hear music when I see color). It's a condition that I've always had, so as a kid, I just figured everyone else could see color when hearing music, and didn't figure it worth asking if they did. I know now my synthesia is one of many that 4% of the population have. How about you?Although, my haters have always sought to use my gift as the point of their bullying, now that science has proved that it is a real thing, they can go and have a nice day - somewhere else. All the more reason to treat others as you wish to be treated. If you feel guided to do so, here's a bit more. . .I write a few words and share today's pic on the topic at my website - https://www.suesinclair.comWanna connect with me via Spotify?
