So, your pastor has just been let go.  Why did it happen? Is there a culture of dismissal in our churches? Today's pastor is too often treated like an expendable member, held to expectations which would be seen as abusive in any other profession. What is the expectation of the pastor and what is the expectation of each church member? Should we as a church address how pastors are treated in a new way?Based and my personal experiences, that of friends and family who have been pastors, and discussions going back to 2003. The intention here is to be blunt and honest about what happens behind closed doors. If what you hear hits close to home, know that you are not alone.
