I can't believe that we've reached the end of this book and we still haven't found out exactly what the hell happens with the big showdown at the Abbey! Does Ara live? I'm hoping so, but what a cliffhanger to end things on!But I'm getting ahead of myself. First there's the whole thing with Clera to deal with, and boy it's ugly and sad and even a little childish. Clera has been assured that she's only giving up Ara, and that Nona won't be caught up, because despite all her mercenary talk and worldly affectation, Clera still hasn't realized how little anyone gives a shit about promises. Well, anyone except Nona.We also find out exactly what the hell happened to Nona all that time ago.
