RED SOX POSTCAST- 5 Errors Doom Red Sox in Series Opener Against White Sox

The Red Sox committed 5 errors in an embarrassing 11-1 loss to the White Sox Friday night in Chicago.  The White Sox ended an 8-game losing streak with the win.  Sean Newcomb took the loss.  The Red Sox have lost 4 of 5 and managed only 7 hits in losing to the White Sox.-----To Err is Human: The Red Sox committed a season-high 5 more errors (2 on catcher's interference) in the series opener. The Red Sox committed only 3errors over their 1st 7 games but have committed 16 errors over the last 8 games.    -----What's On Tap?: The Sox continue their 3-game series against the White Sox on Sunday afternoon. Richard Fitts is expected to make the start for the Sox.  The Red Sox and Rays will open up a series in Tampa, FL Monday night.    -----Red Sox Trade: The Red Sox traded Pitcher Quinn Priester to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league outfielder Yophery Rodriguez, a competitive balance pick (#33) in the 2025 MLB Draft and a player to be named later or cash considerations on Monday. Rodriguez was touted as the 7th-best prospect in the Brewers system according to MLB Pipeline. He’s 19 and started this season off at the Advanced-A Level. Priester was acquired from the Pirates last July for infielder Nick Yorke.
